Our Story Goes..
"Well, if it isn't the kid who just wants to see the watch (he can't afford) again!?" Yep, I was 12 yrs. old and had my sights set on a Timex digital finished in something like gold. It took the better part of a year, 50 "viewings" of it in the display case, and every cent I'd saved. The son of a mechanical engineer, I was genetically predisposed to idolizing all things that ticked. The rest of the story plays out in what you see herein: my love and passion for mechanical timepieces and our desire to preserve what we can pass along to others to discover what's in it for them.

Whatever it takes! Our mission at Upper Hand Timepieces is to make it easy for people to find the right watch in their pursuit; looking to trade for something in their collection, purchase a new watch as a gift, seek out as an investment, or to simply identify among so many other brands how to stand out from the crowd. We'll tell you why we believe strongly in taking calculated risks in prospecting of new brands as investments. We are 100% transparent and that's in writing. We "earn" a percentage of what we sell on your behalf when you consign to us and we "make" a percentage on what we sell from our inventory of brands that we own. Either way, ask us how we "do the math" up front. Then decide if it's a good deal. Like my dad would say, "it's only a good deal if both parties get to blow out the candles".

This means that we aren't going to compromise our values to make a buck at your expense. Your best interest and our ability to ensure your buying experience is positive often supercede our profitability on a transaction by transaction basis. We look at our quantitative growth through a macro lense while we ridigly monitor customer retention through a microscope. Should you be seeking to consign a watch with us to purchase another or to simply get the most favorable market price as an outright sale, you will get our commitment to provide you with options. If we don't have something you are seeking, we'll track it down for you. If we can't add value to a transaction in terms of finding you the best example at the most favorable price, we'll point you to another seller who we trust.
